Vice Chairman Duan Yimin Led a Business Delegation to Kazakhstan, Romania and Bulgaria

At the invitation of Kazakhstan Investment Cooperation Agency (KICA), Invest Romania of Ministry for Business Environment, Commerce and Entrepreneurship, Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), CCPIT Tianjin Vice Chairman Duan Yimin headed a 14-person delegation to Kazakhstan, Romania and Bulgaria from August 23 to September 1.
 
During the visit, the delegation visited Astana World Expo and held talks with counterparts of Kazakhstan, Romania and Bulgaria on business cooperation to advance the development of “Belt and Road” initiative. The Tianjin delegation also explored local markets and investment surroundings and exchanged ideas with their foreign counterparts. 
 
Organized by CCPIT Tianjin, the Tianjin delegation was composed of representatives of Tianjin enterprises as Tianjin Bohai Light Industry Investment Group, Tianjin Housing Group, Tianjin Longxing Group, and Tianjin Flying Pigeon Cycle Development Company, covering sectors of energy setting, machine manufacturing, auto parts, light industrial products, bicycle, modern agriculture, infrastructure, health industry, household supplies and etc. 
 
In Kazakhstan, the delegation met with the Deputy Chairman JUMAGALIYEVA Larissa Zh. of Committee on Investment of the Ministry for Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, General Director Baiedilov Aidyn of KICA, and the Director Tleumuratov YURI of Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty respectively. During the meetings, CCPIT Tianjin Vice Chairman Duan briefed the social and economic development of Tianjin and the developing condition of Tianjin-Kazakhstan cooperation on trade and investment. Mr. Duan also extended his invitation to Kazakhstan to participate in the 2018 PECC Fair-a yearly business promotional activity organized by CCPIT Tianjin- in Tianjin next May. 
 
On behalf of CCPIT Tianjin, Vice Chairman Duan signed a MOU with KICA in a bid to strengthen investment between Tianjin and Kazakhstan. The two sides also made a consensus on organizing Kazakhstan government officials to Tianjin 2018 PECC fair to elaborate their countries investment environment for Tianjin businessmen next year.

Tianjin delegation also visited Alma-Ata Investment Service Center and Alma-Ata LLP Industrial Zone. Mr.  Nurgali Korpetayev, Chief Executive of Alma-Ata LLP Industrial Zone briefed the zone’s tax preferential policies, industrial plannings and facility constructions to the Tianjin guests, as well as introducing enterprises operations in the zone.

The Tianjin delegation visited the China Pavilion of 2017 Astana World Expo.
 
The Tianjin Mission also visited the 2017 Astana World Expo. The first world expo held in the Mid-Asia country was themed as ‘Future Energy’, and attracted over 100 countries and international organizations. In the expo, the delegation communicated with executives of some national pavilions on application of new energies, new materials and new technologies. 
 
In Romania, Vice Chairman Duan Yimin leading the delegation met with the President Gheorghe Naghiu and Executive President Cornel of Romania Entrepreneurs Association, and Director Sorin Vasilescu of Invest Romania of Ministry for Business Environment, Commerce and Entrepreneurship. 
 
During the meetings, Vice Chairman Duan said that Romania was a friendly partner of China and an important country along the routine of “Belt and Road” initiative, and Romania and China enjoy huge potential for cooperation. 
 
Tianjin for its advantages on manufacture and research, shipping services, and financial innovation, has built northern China’s first free trade zone and the 5th largest harbor worldwide, Vice Chairman Duan said. Tianjin should increase mutual understandings with Romania, in particular, assist Tianjin enterprises investing in and importing from the European country, Mr. Duan said. 
 
Mr. Duan also invited Director Sorin Vasilescu to Tianjin next May to expound his country’s investment environment in 2018 PECC Fair.

In Romanian, a business discussing meeting was also organized by CCPIT Tianjin. Tianjin businessmen exchanged ideas with their 30 Romanian counterparts and researched pieces of intention of the cooperating in infrastructure, mining, agriculture, and auto parts.

During the visit to Bulgaria, the Tianjin delegation met with the President Tsvetan Simeonov of Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI). Vice Chairman Duan exchanged ideas with Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov on promoting Tianjin enterprises to invest in Bulgaria, and signed a MOU with his Bulgarian counterpart, on behalf of CCPIT Tianjin, to facilitate information and business exchanges between Tianjin and Bulgaria. 
 
A business discussing meeting between enterprises of Tianjin and Bulgaria was also organized by CCPIT Tianjin and BCCI. More than 50 entrepreneurs gathering there discussed projects in infrastructure, bicycle, auto parts, carpets, health industry, exhibition, agriculture and etc.
