Organized by CCPIT and CCOIC Tianjin sub-council the Nebraska Trade & Investment Seminar was held in Tianjin Meijiang convention center on May 29, 2011.
CCPIT-Tianjin Chairman Mr. Zhao Xueming attended the meeting and made a speech. Mr. Andrew Brillard, the Commercial officer of the United States Embassy in Beijing, Mr. Joe Chapuran, International Development Manager of Nebraska Department of Economic Development, Ms. Marisa Ring, International Business Development Manager of Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce and Mr. Zhang Qing, General Manager of JZW International Development LLC made presentations respectively on Nebraska. More than 150 representatives from 135 foreign oriented enterprises attended the event.

Officials and entrepreneurs of Nebraska made brief introductions on how to do business in their state. Located in the Midwest of US and well known as the “Beef State”, Nebraska boasts highly developed agricultural and animal breeding industries. Nebraska is China’s fourth largest export market. Aiming to deepen the understanding between Tianjin and Nebraska, the seminar provides a good opportunity for entrepreneurs in Tianjin to establish business contacts with their American counterparts.
